Heartland Drywall Association was founded in the 1980’s as AWCI of Nebraska, an affiliate member of the national AWCI organization. This was due to the by-laws stating that each member company had to be a current member of AWCI. These by-laws were later changed to allow non-AWCI members to join and thus breaking our connection with a national organization.

Some of the original members companies were Meehan Radachi, PML Construction, Delta Construction, DK&B Construction Specialties, Interior Construction, and E&K Omaha. The original founder and president of Heartland Drywall was Mike Manley of Interior Construction. Since then, at least a dozen members have headed this Omaha based interior and exterior finish organization from many different companies.

Mission Statement

• We will promote our industry and the vital part that we play in each construction project.
• We will assist the architectural community in the development of specifications that meet the intent of the construction documents regarding design, code, degree of finish, and end use.
• We will provide a continuous education and training program to our member organizations relative to systems, products, and field application techniques.
• Our industry and those we serve will recognize us as having a business ethic that is “unsurpassed”.
